Meet the Founder

David Garcia | Founder of The Cornerstone Collective

Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, I experienced many of the challenges that affect underserved communities. As a teenager, I became involved in street life and was headed down a path that offered little opportunity. Everything changed when my mother made the difficult decision to seek help, leading me into the Sheriff’s VIDA program.

That experience helped me turn my life around. I earned my GED, became a Certified Nursing Assistant, obtained my Activities Director certification, and built a career in security, armored transportation, healthcare, and community service.

Through my journey, I realized that many of our communities share the same struggles, dreams, and goals. Instead of allowing division to separate us, I wanted to create something that would bring people together. That vision became The Cornerstone Collective.

More than a clothing brand, The Cornerstone Collective is a movement built on unity, empowerment, and opportunity. Our mission is to uplift communities, inspire growth, and remind people that although we may come from different backgrounds, we can build something greater together.
